Chief Marketing Officer & Storyteller

Ms Volkwein is the Chief Marketing Officer and Storyteller for Terra Sustainable Technologies as well as the CEO and Co-Founder of Terra Organics. She is a Co-Founder of, a resource for organic, nontoxic recommendations for children, as well as a Founder of Volkwein Media. Through Volkwein Media, she has  authored or co-authored over 15 book titles and five New York Times bestsellers. Her experience spans the worlds of publishing, online and broadcast media, with an eye to perfecting an authentic visual and editorial voice. Clients have ranged from top chefs to biodynamic farmers and corporations such as, Target and ReganArts / Phaidon. Previous roles include Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Development at AOL CityGuide, Culinary Producer and New Media Producer at the Food Network, Assistant Editor at HarperCollins Publishers as well as Assistant Development Director for the Smithsonian’s National Design Museum.

Ms. Volkwein is a member of the Explorers Club where she has served as Secretary to the Board, on the Conservation and Annual Dinner Committees, co-head of the Silent Auction, as well as Chair of the Lowell Thomas Awards. Other roles have included serving as Class Agent for Phillips Academy, Andover and serving on the Les Dames D’Escoffier International Green Tables Committee supporting Wellness in the Schools in New York City. 

Ms. Volkwein holds a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Art History from Barnard College, Columbia University and is a Career Culinary graduate of the Institute for Culinary Education.
